  • Michele Good, RYT-200

Michele Good started practicing yoga to manage her shoulder pain. She was a person who disliked exercise, associating it to stress, pain and frustration. Then she met Newsha, and her world changed.

Through yoga, she learned that in order to heal oneself, you need to take into account all aspects of your life, the physical, the mental and the social. As well as learn the importance of listening to the body and taking things one day at a time. With Newsha's guidance, Michele experienced the physical healing and mental calming effects of yoga, resulting in a strong respect and appreciation for the practice. This led to her desire to become a yogini. Michele completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha Yoga and Yoga Therapy with Shafa Yoga in November 2011, and is excited to help others and share her knowledge and experience, while she is on her own journey to continue learning, growing and healing. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, RYT 200, and is enrolled in a Massage Therapy Program to enhance her education in holistic therapy.

Outside of Shafa Yoga, Michele tries to balance yoga with working full time as a Gemologist. This profession has given her the opportunity to work internationally throughout Asia, spending much of her time in India.
